A compact canal-house studio for artists who want to play together and record alone in the same building.
Why we built this studio
Monogamyvault opened in 2021 because many Amsterdam acts needed a quiet room in the centre without spending hours in traffic. We skipped glass showrooms in favour of rooms where you set up your voice or kit and immediately listen in an honest control room.
The name is not a genre statement; it stands for focus—one project per slot, engineers who pay attention and files you can open at home without surprises.
The rooms
Live room (32 m²)
Treated walls, isolated floor and curtains to shrink the space. Up to 6 musicians at once, with drum kit, backline and wedge monitors.
Control room (24 m²)
Symmetrical monitors, a patchbay with 18 preamps and a small analogue summing chain beside in-the-box workflows.
Vocal booths (2×)
Separate booths for singing, rap and voice-over, with sight lines to the desk through double glass.
Podcast space
Round table for 4 guests, broadcast mics and basic editing included in podcast rates.
How we work
Every session gets an engineer who follows the job from quote to export. Off-site mixing includes 2 revision rounds; anything beyond that is agreed upfront.
We work by appointment during Monday–Friday 09:30–18:30, Saturday 12:00–17:00, Sunday closed. That leaves time for setup and a short debrief. For mixing and mastering, see delivering stems and loudness for streaming.
Address and access
Monogamyvault B.V., Elandsgracht 84, 1016 TX Amsterdam. Trams 3, 13 and 17 stop at Haarlemmerplein; from there it is about a 4-minute walk via Haarlemmerdijk and Elandsgracht. From Amsterdam Central Station it is roughly a 12-minute walk via Haarlemmerdijk. The studio entrance is at street level beside the bicycle racks.
